Architectural stone is not easily defined. So let’s take a look at what might be a reasonable definition. Using layman terminology, think of rock or stone that has been machine worked or carved in some manner that yields an architectural element such as a fireplace mantel, a door surround, etc.
A great example is the use of white marble as architectural stone. This trend is music to our ears! In many cases, the White Marble as Theatre concept starts with the marble blocks.
