Navy is Now in 2017 as a functioning colorway solving a variety of design issues. The always astute Freshome.com goes so far as to say, “thanks to 2017’s design trends, another color is ready to mix up your neutral color palate. Navy is here and there’s no stopping it.” Given that sentiment let’s cover this color a bit.
A general concept in the post from Freshome is that Navy crosses a divide from being a feature or accent color to become what they call a “faux-neutral”. To support that idea, we are told that “usually, when we talk about neutrals, blacks, whites and grays steal the spotlight — and for good reason! They go with everything”. Now, Navy may have made that team.

More support for this is shown in cabinetry as seen above and in paint immediately below. We might opine that “faux-neutral” may equal “aggressive-neutral” but that is perhaps a difference without a significant distinction. We will let you be the judge of that.

Below, please check out what may possibly be the outer limits of Navy as that aggressive neutral. Perhaps Navy furniture is a design bridge too far for many of you. Again, individual style should rule the day.
Now, let’s introduce a few Navy choices in ceramic tile. Lately, I have been turning to our pals at Mercury Mosaics for color inspiration inside the ceramic tile medium.

As you can clearly see above, below and at the very top of this post, the “tile elves” working there have again provided us with saturated blues for our consideration.

In conclusion, in whatever way you view Navy, we can make suggestions to pave the way for you to use ceramic tile. Thanks for reading and text me anytime at 305.986.1046.
