Terracotta, can be very easily defined as “baked earth”, and has a history dating back centuries. The typical uses over time have included tiles, mosaics, potteries of all types, roof tiles, drainage pipes and more. The body is usually relatively porous and may have been literally baked in the sun or fired in a kiln. Today, the topic is Terracotta 2017 and the part it plays in fashion forward design plans this fall.

Recently, Country Living magazine posted “15 Trends You’re About to See Everywhere This Fall”. One of them was terracotta. The gave their opinion in these quick words: “Terra cotta tiles are back—and if you ask us, they never left. Incorporate the classic earthenware to add warmth and character to your home”. Since 1964, our friends at Country Floors have  been a design industry leader in the terracotta tile and mosaic category. Naturally, this post from Country Living is music to their ears and I am featuring them as an iconic vendor.

There is no doubt Country Floors believes that all things terracotta have been embedded in their corporate DNA since the founding of the company in 1964 by Mr. Norman Karlson. At the top of this post please take a look at an exterior setting featuring their Cotto Med Collection. Then immediately above is an arresting image with a deep color value which is part of the Reclaimed Terracotta product group.

Country Floors has luxury showrooms across the United States and also in Puerto Rico where the language of Terracotta 2017 is spoken fluently by true design professionals. Thanks for reading!
